Government Support Programs for Game Studios in Turkey

Employment Incentives
Subsidizes 50%–60% of the salaries of newly hired personnel.

Overseas Office Rent Support
Provides rent subsidies for companies establishing offices abroad.

Trademark and Patent Support
Covers international trademark registration and patent expenses.

KOSGEB Supports

Advanced Entrepreneur Program
Offers up to TRY 375,000 in grants for new technology-based companies, including game studios, to finance machinery, equipment, and operating costs.

R&D and Innovation Program
Provides TRY 300,000 in grants and TRY 500,000–700,000 in interest-free loans for research and development projects such as new game engines.

General Support Program
Funds participation in trade fairs and business trips, qualified personnel recruitment, design, intellectual property rights, certification, testing, and analysis.

BiGG – Venture-Based Entrepreneurship Program

Eligibility Criteria

Company Type
Applicants are typically required to be a Limited Liability Company (LLC) or Joint Stock Company (JSC).

Membership and Debt Status
Must be a member of an Exporters’ Association and have no outstanding tax or social security debts.

Field of Activity
Expenditures must target foreign markets to qualify for export incentives.

Innovation Focus
TÜBİTAK may consider the technological infrastructure of the game (rather than the game itself) as the innovation component.
